At BBJ Bangkok we believe it is our people that separate us from the crowd. A collective of more than 300 individuals, we believe in zero tolerance to any form of discrimination, be it based on color, race, religion, sex, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or gender identity/expression. We operate a respectful workplace where differences are celebrated, and different views, ideas and experiences are used to help us grow and constantly improve.

We use no forced or trafficked labor. We are against any form or kind of child labor. We ensure we are compliant with all relevant employment, environmental, and anti-corruption laws and always operate with integrity in the front of mind.

As another way to show appreciation to our amazing team, we have transformed our previously subsidized canteen into a completely free canteen. This enhancement is a testament to our commitment to providing excellent welfare benefits, ensuring that all team members have access to clean, nutritious, and complimentary food.

BBJ Bangkok also provides a wellness area and medical center for our employees. This is further enhanced by our on-site Health Officer who takes all appropriate steps to ensure that all employees have access to sanitary facilities, and all are protected from exposure to any kind or form of harm at work. 

Furthermore, we also provide designated kitchen and coffee making facilities, along with a recreation area and additional rest areas. These amenities are designed to offer our staff comfortable spaces for relaxation and socialization, further enhancing our commitment to a positive and nurturing work environment.

Environment

BBJ Bangkok operates environmentally friendly practices to care for the environment that surrounds us. We have implemented proper systems to manage any kind of emissions that result from our jewelry making operations. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and always looking to reduce it.

This commitment is inclusive of packaging, air, water, power consumption, gemstone sourcing, metals and other waste material or equipment. Continual reviews and improvements to our production processes help us to minimize production-related waste and implement plans to recycle waste such as metals, wax, and rubber. Our aim is to recycle or repurpose wherever possible.

As a further commitment to our employees and the environment, BBJ Bangkok employs an on-site Safety Officer to implement appropriate procedures and safeguards to prevent accidents and injuries, and works to establish proper maintenance, monitoring, and inspection routines. 

Our on-site Safety Officer is also tasked with training and protecting our workforce through sharing knowledge on fire and potentially harmful chemical and hazardous waste handling protocols.

Sustainability

BBJ Bangkok believes in sustainability. We are all responsible for our planet’s wellness. We are committed to moving towards using more recycled materials. A major step we take towards this is to continually review and improve our production processes to minimize production-related waste and implement plans to recycle even more metal, wax, and rubber materials. We are also taking steps to move towards using recyclable and/or biodegradable packaging. Our aim is to recycle or repurpose wherever possible.

BBJ Bangkok Ltd also supports ethical sourcing. We have KYC processes in place to avoid any potential conflict of interest and make sure any partners or suppliers we work with follow the same principles. We also have a zero-tolerance policy for corruption, bribery, and acceptance of gifts that could be seen to impart favoritism or unfair advantage. This extends not just to individuals directly employed by BBJ Bangkok, but also to all partners and suppliers we work with now and in the future.

When sourcing gemstones or other raw materials BBJ Bangkok makes every attempt to ensure that any individual or entity we work with does so ethically and sustainably. This includes but is not limited to adherence to any relevant trade embargoes against countries, entities, or individuals. BBJ Bangkok does not and will not enter into any agreement to purchase embargoed goods without the proper exemption or authorization to do so.

Closer to home, BBJ Bangkok views our employees and partners as a community and feels a social responsibility toward everyone. We endeavor to make sure that everyone is provided with a working environment which is both safe and open, where any employee regardless of position feels able to ask questions and has both a voice that is heard and the opportunity for growth and advancement.
